Acadia University - Full Course Load Fees

Students registered in more than 12.0 credit hours in a term are considered enrolled in a full load and charged a fixed tuition fee. Students registered in greater than 18 credit hours per term will be charged a per credit hour fee.

The fees above are for a full year based on students taking a full course load of 24 - 33 credit hours. Students registered in less than 12 credit hours in a term pay tuition per course. Students registered in more than 18 credit hours in a term will pay an additional per course tuition amount. Please see our Tuition and Fees page for more information.

Payment Due Dates for 2024-2025 Academic Year

All tuition, student fees, residence fees and meal plan fees are due on the first day of classes in September and January.

Any additional fees charged throughout the academic terms are due immediately.

Residence Fees

Residence costs vary depending on which residence and which kind of room you choose. Residence prices start at $6,080. Most rooms cost between $6,915 and $8,465. Please visit our Residence Fees page to explore your options.

Insurance

At the start of your first term each year, students have the option to opt out of medical and dental insurance. Please visit the Acadia Students’ Union for more information.

Tuition for all graduate students is based on either a 1- or 2-year residency requirement, except the Master of Education program. In the unusual situation where a student completes their graduate program early, tuition for the residency will still apply.

Students who do not complete within the residency period will be charged a continuance fee for each additional semester that they are registered.

Payment Due Dates for 2024-2025 Academic Year:

All tuition, student fees, residence fees and meal plan fees are due on the first day of classes in September and January.

Any additional fees charged throughout the academic terms are due immediately.

If you do not pay by these deadlines, your registration will be cancelled. A reinstatement fee of $50 will be charged and original course registration is not guaranteed. Acceptable arrangements include the assignment of required amounts from Federal and Provincial Student Loans.

If you wish to add dependents to your Extended Health and/or Dental policy, you must contact the Health Plan Administrator before the last business day of the month in which your current academic year begins.
